i used to DIY T and briefly DIY-ed E and i have helped numerous others with their DIY, both T and E. i believe the more information is out there the better, and i hope that people who use the resources i make or link will download, modify, and recirculate these documents within their own communities, so we Do It Ourselves and keep building knowledge together as a community

    DIY

so there's a lot of decent DIY resources out there. i would suggest checking out the following to answer a lot of questions you might have:

what blood tests do i need?
    - trans harm reduction have decent guidance on what bloods most people will need to get to monitor their levels and health
i want a general overview and maybe some lists of suppliers
    - diyhrt wiki is a decent overview compiled resource to familiarise yourself with
i want to know about testosterone therapy regimens
    - this is a really good intro to the common kinds and esters of injectable T and common dosages, alongside other transition resources for those taking T
i want to start estrogen but i'm scared and i need advice
    - this is a good resource if you need a push to get started. i have minor disagreements in opinion about blood tests (if you can get baselines, do, and sometimes your metabolism will throw you a random spanner in the works for ??? reasons so if stuff changes in a weird way, check your levels) but this is a really good and accessible resource
i want to know about estrogen regimens, to a reasonable degree of technical detail, and possibly also model/forecast my levels
    - transfem science have run throughs of a lot of the research on different forms of E, regimens with and without blockers, and general good information. they also have a levels forecasting tool. if you want a testosterone levels modeller you can just google it, the bodybuilders have taken care of that one already

besides the resources listed above, i have put together my own document on DIY, which has been compiled using my experiences, experiences of those i know, resources i've read online, medical research papers, and more. i currently am not hosting this online. if you want to contact me about this, or anything else on this website, try emailing butchmutt (at) protonmail (dot) com. if i get spammed i'll take this out and figure out another way for people to get in touch

    detransition

as someone with experience of hormonal detransition, i figured i'd write about how it's been going and affecting my body, since it's highly underresearched and even from looking on reddit, hard to find much info about in terms of people who are really engaged with the medical/technical underpinnings of what's going on. my 'detransition log' will get updated periodically when i have new things to add. if i find any other useful resources on the matter i'll chuck 'em here too. right now i'm mostly just using DIY and trans medical resources to try to glean useful bits of information

    the detransition log
    - my own experience of hormonal detransition
    L's voice training guide
    - this is a particuarly in-depth voice training guide that my partner recommended me as she used it herself. the general rule for detransitioners who were FtM/transmasc/guys is that trans women have generally dealt with and found solutions to many of our problems already, this is one such instance. voice anxiety is something i've seen a lot online and while it's hard work, it's very solvable
